R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six |
|
|
decades, Wayne and Catherine Long of Georgetown celebrated their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Long exchanged the vows of matrimony on |
|
|
that memorable day in 1951, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes 5 children and their spouses, Denise and Paul Conner, |
|
|
Cathy and Earnest Meyer, Brenda and Lee Richards, Christy and David |
|
|
Holquin, and Tim and DeeDee Long, as well as 14 grandchildren and 12 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing the many |
|
|
special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Wayne and |
|
|
Catherine Long can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Wayne and Catherine Long on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Long as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
