R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Jeremy Pat Pryor on April
  15, 2011, at the age of 36, has brought great sorrow to the family
  and many friends of this vibrant and caring young Texan; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Houston on April 18, 1974, Mr. Pryor was the
  son of Pat Pryor and Patricia Gail Pryor; he grew up in Waco and
  graduated from Midway High School before going on to complete both
  his bachelor's degree in anthropology and his master's degree in
  business administration at Baylor University; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pryor's deep respect for the natural world
  guided his career choices; he worked for environmental consulting
  firms and The Nature Conservancy, earning the respect and
  admiration of his colleagues; and
         WHEREAS, Thoughtful, adventurous, and intellectually
  curious, Mr. Pryor traveled extensively; he was adopted by the
  Eastern Shoshone tribe and given the name of "Nummawunt," meaning
  "one of us"; his kindness and enthusiasm won him myriad friends, and
  he brought joy wherever he went with his warm smile, sense of fun,
  and ability to savor the moment; and
         WHEREAS, A member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Pryor
  participated in the congregation's activities and ministries from
  childhood onward, and in 2010, he took part in the church's mission
  to Guatemala; he was devoted to his family and friends, and he
  cherished his faithful dog, Willie; among his many interests, he
  was an avid fan of the Baylor Bears; and
         WHEREAS, While it is always too soon to say goodbye to a loved
  one, Jeremy Pryor lived a caring and purposeful life, rich in the
  intangibles that matter most; he will forever hold a special place
  in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jeremy Pat Pryor and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  parents, Pat and Gail Pryor; to his brother, Matt Pryor, and his
  wife, Paige; to his sister, Amanda Pryor O'Connor, and her husband,
  Christiaan; to his nephew, Jake Pryor; to his nieces, Mairead and
  Caitrin O'Connor; to his godsister and godbrother, Luoana and
  Bogdan Cirlan; to his uncle, Bobby Sanders, and his wife, Phyllis;
  to his cousins, Shelli Sanders, Jill Quarantino, Leann Sanders, and
  Natalie Sanders; and to his many other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jeremy Pat
  Pryor.
