R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Esther Mae Williams on April 1, 2011, at the age of 76;
  and
         WHEREAS, Esther Williams was born in Mangham, Louisiana, on
  December 2, 1934, the eldest daughter among 14 children; and
         WHEREAS, She married Alexander Williams in 1958, and together
  they shared a rewarding relationship that spanned more than half a
  century; they were blessed with a son, Larry, and with the passing
  years saw their family grow to include three grandchildren; in
  addition, Mrs. Williams enjoyed the fellowship of many people as a
  faithful congregant of Wesley United Methodist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Esther Williams had a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all those
  who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Esther Mae Williams
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Alexander Williams; to her son, Larry Williams, and his
  wife, Yvonne; to her grandchildren, Marcus, Jaleesa, and Ariel; to
  her six brothers and three sisters; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Esther Mae
  Williams.
