R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Janie Dickson of Waco, who died on April 5, 2011, at the age of |
|
57; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, "Tootsie" Dickson |
|
was born in Waco on November 30, 1953, to R. E. and Lucille Honea; |
|
in the course of her working life, she established a career in |
|
medical records retrieval; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Dickson married Andrew Winfield, and they shared |
|
a rewarding relationship until he passed away; she cherished the |
|
time spent with her family, which included her children, Sam and |
|
Leslee, and her grandchildren, Austin and Milla; and |
|
WHEREAS, Known for her vibrant personality and delightful |
|
sense of humor, Tootsie Dickson brightened the lives of all who had |
|
the privilege of knowing her, and she will be fondly remembered and |
|
deeply missed; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Janie Dickson and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her son, |
|
Sam Ochoa III, and his wife, Janie; to her daughter, Leslee |
|
Marshall, and her partner, Landei Segovia; to her grandchildren, |
|
Austin Marshall and Milla Ochoa; to her brothers, James, Donald, |
|
and Terry Honea; to her sisters, Wanda Navarro and Cindy Ochoa; and |
|
to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Janie |
|
Dickson. |
