R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Duane Lee and Judy Baker of Mart |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Buddy" Baker and the former Judy Kay Hopkins were |
|
|
united in matrimony at the First Baptist Church in Mart in 1961; |
|
|
through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that |
|
|
has been made even richer with the addition of their children, |
|
|
Belinda Summers and her husband, Royce, Dana Baker, and David Baker |
|
|
and his wife, Stephanie; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Buddy and Judy Baker on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Baker as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
