R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Nellie Effie Sutton of Bellmead |
|
were greatly saddened by her passing on March 31, 2011, at the age |
|
of 89; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Nellie Lansford was born on February 21, |
|
1922, to Norman and Effie Lansford; she cherished her faith, and she |
|
was a valued member of Timber Crest Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, She enjoyed a rewarding marriage to Coy Sutton until |
|
she was widowed, and she served as a source of wisdom and |
|
inspiration to her children, Vivian and Kenneth, and their |
|
families; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, memories of this |
|
beloved woman will be forever treasured by those who were fortunate |
|
enough to share in the richness of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nellie Effie Sutton |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughter, Vivian Pittman, and her husband, Bill; to her son, |
|
Kenneth Sutton, and his wife, Linda; to her grandchildren, Chad Coe |
|
and his wife, Stacey, Lisa Whitten and her husband, Jon, Billy |
|
Pittman and his wife, Lisa, Wayne Sutton and his wife, Lauren, and |
|
Rachelle Watkins and her husband, Ken; to her 16 |
|
great-grandchildren and her great-great-granddaughter; and to her |
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nellie |
|
Effie Sutton. |
