R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Norman E. Vinson of Waco, who passed away on April 6, 2011, at the |
|
|
age of 63; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Norman Vinson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on |
|
|
December 22, 1947, to Cecil and Norma Vinson; he attended Arlington |
|
|
Community High School in Indianapolis and Casper College and the |
|
|
University of Wyoming/Casper College Center, both in Casper, |
|
|
Wyoming; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Vinson |
|
|
enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War; he |
|
|
subsequently retired from the military because of wounds he |
|
|
sustained on April 21, 1967; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Vinson was blessed with four children, Jennifer, |
|
|
Kimberly, Craig, and Brian, as well as two grandchildren, Alora and |
|
|
Josiah; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A brave soldier and a caring father, Norman Vinson |
|
|
will be deeply missed, but memories of his wonderful sense of humor |
|
|
and compassionate spirit remain to comfort and inspire his friends |
|
|
and family; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Norman E. Vinson and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lynn and Robert Baker; to his |
|
|
sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Katherine Vinson and Brian and |
|
|
Holly Vinson; to his grandchildren, Alora Vinson and Josiah Vinson; |
|
|
and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Norman |
|
|
Vinson. |
