R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Sonny and Carol Ludwig |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on April 7, |
|
|
2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sonny Ludwig and the former Carol Poteet were joined |
|
|
in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held in Waco; through the years, |
|
|
they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes two |
|
|
sons, Roger Ludwig and his wife, Linda, and Rodney Ludwig and his |
|
|
wife, Debbie, as well as six grandchildren, Meagan, Corey, Amber, |
|
|
Brandy, Roger, and James, and seven great-grandchildren, Harley, |
|
|
Haylee, McKenzie, Gabriella, Hunter, Holden, and Brady; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Ludwig was |
|
|
self-employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker in the China Spring |
|
|
area before his retirement; Mrs. Ludwig retired from Kirsch |
|
|
Manufacturing after 22 years of service; they are both valued |
|
|
congregants of Christ American Lutheran Church in Waco; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sonny and Carol Ludwig on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
