R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, April 11, 2011, marked the 30th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Howard and Mary Ann Thompson of Woodway, providing a fitting |
|
|
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as |
|
|
husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Howard Thompson and the former Mary Ann Carson were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1981 at a ceremony held at Baylor |
|
|
University's Miller Chapel in Waco; through the years, they have |
|
|
been blessed with a treasured family that includes two children, |
|
|
Ryan and Holly; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Thompson is retired from public school teaching |
|
|
and administration and currently teaches music at McLennan |
|
|
Community College and serves as the choirmaster at St. Alban's |
|
|
Episcopal Church; music instructor at Speegleville Elementary |
|
|
School for the past 16 years, Mrs. Thompson also gives private voice |
|
|
and piano lessons and is the carillonneur at St. Alban's; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 30 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Thompson |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Howard and Mary Ann Thompson on |
|
|
their 30th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Thompson as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
