R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |
|
of Cleo Frances Malone of West, who passed away on April 12, 2011, |
|
at the age of 97; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on December 5, 1913, in Whitesboro to Noah |
|
Francis and Rebekah Manning, the former Cleo Manning attended |
|
school in her hometown; she went on to marry Gordon Wesley Malone, |
|
and the couple shared many happy years together and welcomed into |
|
their family a beloved daughter, Darlene; Mr. Malone preceded his |
|
wife in death in 1988; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Malone worked as a seamstress in Dallas for |
|
more than 30 years, retiring in the late 1960s; her hobbies included |
|
gardening, sewing, and cooking, and she also enjoyed taking walks; |
|
she moved to the West area in 1993 to be near her daughter and |
|
son-in-law and became a faithful member of the First Baptist Church |
|
of West; and |
|
WHEREAS, Cherished for her strength, kindness, and cheerful |
|
nature, Cleo Malone will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by |
|
all those who were privileged to share in her friendship and |
|
affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Cleo Frances Malone |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughter, Darlene Brooks, and her husband, James "Bo" Brooks; to |
|
her grandchildren, Tonya White, Brittney Hand and her husband, |
|
Justin, and Jayme Brooks; to her great-grandchildren, Hailey White, |
|
Hunter White, and Kirstyn Hand; and to her other relatives and |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Cleo |
|
Malone. |
