R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Residents of Weslaco and beyond were deeply saddened
  by the untimely death of a beloved woman, Janie Cuellar Salinas, on
  June 12, 2010, at the age of 43; and
         WHEREAS, Born and raised in Weslaco, Janie Cuellar graduated
  from Weslaco High School in 1985 and earned a bachelor's degree from
  the University of North Texas in 1989; excelling in everything she
  did, she was a hardworking and dedicated employee for a number of
  businesses over the course of her life, and she was very involved in
  politics as well, campaigning successfully for family members,
  including her husband, former Hidalgo County judge J. D. Salinas
  III; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Salinas was a woman of strong faith who was
  active in Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg and in Holy
  Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth, where she had recently moved
  with her family and had already established many friendships with
  her positive, outgoing nature; and
         WHEREAS, She enjoyed cooking and scrapbooking, and most of
  all being a mother; she regularly participated in her children's
  activities, as well as in races benefiting various organizations
  and in fund-raising for Relay for Life; and
         WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Salinas enjoyed the
  love and support of her husband and her children, Nicholas,
  Samantha, Victoria, Gianna, and Gabriella; and
         WHEREAS, Devotion to her family and community formed the
  foundation on which this highly respected Texan built her life, and
  she will long be remembered by her loved ones and by all those whose
  lives she touched; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Janie Cuellar
  Salinas and extend sincere condolences to the members of her
  family: to her husband, J. D. Salinas III; to her children,
  Nicholas, Samantha, Victoria, Gianna, and Gabriella Salinas; to her
  brothers and sisters; and to her other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Janie
  Cuellar Salinas.
