R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, During National Nursing Home Week, which is taking |
|
place May 8-14, 2011, member nursing homes of both the Texas and |
|
American Health Care Associations are sponsoring events focused on |
|
this year's theme of "Fulfilling the Promise"; and |
|
WHEREAS, One such facility is the Highland Pines Nursing and |
|
Rehabilitation Center in Longview; dedicated to providing the best |
|
possible care to residents, the staff at Highland Pines includes |
|
doctors, nurses, physical therapists, speech and language |
|
pathologists, occupational therapists, medical social workers, and |
|
certified nursing assistants; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals now residing at Highland Pines and |
|
at other nursing homes across the state and nation have contributed |
|
immeasurably to the success and growth of their communities, and |
|
they, along with the skilled professionals who care for them, are |
|
deserving of our respect and appreciation; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor the residents and staff of the Highland |
|
Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on the occasion of National |
|
Nursing Home Week and encourage all Texans to visit or volunteer at |
|
a local nursing home; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the Highland Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center |
|
as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of |
|
Representatives. |
