R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During National Nursing Home Week, which is taking
  place May 8-14, 2011, member nursing homes of both the Texas and
  American Health Care Associations are sponsoring events focused on
  this year's theme of "Fulfilling the Promise"; and
         WHEREAS, One such facility is the Highland Pines Nursing and
  Rehabilitation Center in Longview; dedicated to providing the best
  possible care to residents, the staff at Highland Pines includes
  doctors, nurses, physical therapists, speech and language
  pathologists, occupational therapists, medical social workers, and
  certified nursing assistants; and
         WHEREAS, Those individuals now residing at Highland Pines and
  at other nursing homes across the state and nation have contributed
  immeasurably to the success and growth of their communities, and
  they, along with the skilled professionals who care for them, are
  deserving of our respect and appreciation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the residents and staff of the Highland
  Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on the occasion of National
  Nursing Home Week and encourage all Texans to visit or volunteer at
  a local nursing home; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Highland Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
  as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
  Representatives.
