R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Billie Sue Squires of Terrell retired from American
  National Bank on April 15, 2011, drawing to a close an outstanding
  tenure with the bank that spanned four and a half decades; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Squires went to work at American National Bank
  in the bookkeeping department when she was just 18; an accurate,
  unselfish, and devoted employee, she served in a number of
  capacities and led the note department at a time when notes had to
  be written by hand and balanced once a month in a general ledger;
  she consistently offered superior customer service and also pitched
  in behind the scenes, helping to clean out the vault and decorate
  for Christmas; and
         WHEREAS, She has also been an active community volunteer,
  supporting the Chamber of Commerce among other organizations, and
  in all of her endeavors, she enjoys the love and support of her
  husband, Mackey, a retired Dallas firefighter; following her
  retirement, she plans to travel and spend more time with her family
  and friends; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Billie Sue Squires has
  epitomized the definition of community banker, and her dedication,
  professionalism, and a commitment to excellence set an outstanding
  example for all who follow in her footsteps; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Billie Sue Squires on her
  retirement from American National Bank and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Squires as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
