R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, After two years of exceptional service, Kimberly
  Locus of Dallas is stepping down as executive director of the Dallas
  County Republican Party; and
         WHEREAS, A lifelong Republican, Ms. Locus became the
  executive director of the Dallas County Republican Party in 2009 at
  the request of DCRP chair Jonathan Neerman; during her tenure she
  has worked tirelessly to secure the success of the party and to
  promote conservative principles; Ms. Locus began volunteering with
  the DCRP in 1998, and in 2007 she became the primary election
  administrator and Finance and Victory Chair; she has also
  contributed to the party as chair of Precinct 1124, and she holds
  membership in the Lake Highlands, Park Cities, and First Republican
  Women's Clubs; and
         WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Locus is a founding
  board member and a past president of the National Charity League,
  and she currently guides the fund-raising efforts of the Lake
  Highlands PTA Board; a woman of deep faith, she worships at Christ
  the King Catholic Church and serves its congregation as a member of
  the Altar Society; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Locus enjoys the love and
  support of her husband, John, and their three children, Lauryn,
  Sarah, and George; and
         WHEREAS, Kim Locus has distinguished herself through her hard
  work and commitment in behalf of the Dallas County Republican
  Party, and she is indeed worthy of recognition for her exemplary
  public spirit; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Kimberly Locus on the occasion of
  her retirement as executive director of the Dallas County
  Republican Party and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Locus as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
