R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Lanet Greenhaw of Richardson joined the Dallas
  Regional Chamber as director of education in January 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Greenhaw has long been an advocate for
  education, and she has served on the Richardson ISD Board of
  Trustees since 1998; before her election to the board, she shared
  her time and talents with the RISD Council of PTAs and the District
  Planning Committee, and she was area chairperson for the successful
  1996 bond campaign; along the way, she earned designation as a
  master trustee by the Texas Association of School Boards; and
         WHEREAS, A 1976 graduate of Oklahoma State University, Ms.
  Greenhaw has a background in public relations; she also brings to
  her new post experience as the executive director of the National
  Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship of Greater Dallas and the
  lead marketing communications consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield
  of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, The Dallas Regional Chamber is indeed fortunate to
  have the benefit of Lanet Greenhaw's experience, insight, and
  leadership skills as it strives to fulfill its mission of fostering
  economic prosperity through a well-educated workforce; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Lanet Greenhaw on her appointment
  as director of education for the Dallas Regional Chamber and extend
  to her sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Greenhaw as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
