R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jarrian Roberts of the Clarksville High School Blue |
|
|
Tigers has been chosen for the Texas Association of Basketball |
|
|
Coaches 1A Division 1 All-State Team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Roberts is a 16-year-old junior who has lettered |
|
|
in four sports; apart from basketball, he is an All-State football |
|
|
player, a regional qualifier in shot put, and an All-District |
|
|
pitcher in baseball; he has been a varsity competitor since his |
|
|
freshman year in high school; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Ricky and Lanetta Roberts, Jarrian |
|
|
Roberts began playing T-ball at the age of three; in addition to his |
|
|
participation in sports, this outstanding young Texan works in a |
|
|
landscaping business; he is also the light and sound technician for |
|
|
the one-act play theater group at Clarksville High; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With his combination of talent and dedication, |
|
|
Jarrian Roberts has proven himself an athlete of exceptional |
|
|
ability, and he has earned the respect of his teammates and |
|
|
opponents alike; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Jarrian Roberts on his selection as a |
|
|
member of the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches 1A Division 1 |
|
|
All-State Team and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
