R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Michael Cook Walton of Stephenville, who passed away on March 11,
  2011, at the age of 71; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Walton was born to Ernest Vernon Walton and
  Estelle Cook Walton on December 22, 1939, in Dallas; he graduated
  with the Class of 1958 from A&M Consolidated High School in College
  Station and went on to attend Texas A&M University; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Walton began his notable career with the Texas
  Department of Agriculture in 1962 and retired some three decades
  later as a district director; while serving with the TDA, he earned
  the great admiration and affection of his colleagues for his
  fairness and loyalty as a supervisor and for his caring mentorship;
  and
         WHEREAS, Sustained throughout his life by his deep faith, Mr.
  Walton was a valued congregant of Greens Creek Baptist Church in
  Stephenville; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan was the proud and loving father
  of three children, Virginia, Michelle, and Michael, and he took
  infinite joy in his nine grandchildren and his great-grandson; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Walton enjoyed a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
  who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Michael Cook Walton
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  children and their spouses, Virginia Ann and John Roberts, R.
  Michelle and Andrew Kinser, and Michael Vernon and Trina Walton; to
  his grandchildren, Jeremy, Margo, and Tabitha Hymer, Jason Roberts,
  Kali and Gabrielle Kinser, Adam and Abby Walton, and Robert
  Chapman; to his great-grandson, Milam Thomas Hymer; to his brother,
  Jim Walton; to his lifetime friends, Ann Vargas, Gary Miller, and
  Rick Wahrmund; to his very special friend, Heidi Craddock; and to
  his other loved ones; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael
  Cook Walton.
