R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Jordan |
|
|
Williford has ably served her fellow Texans as a legislative |
|
|
assistant in the office of State Representative Van Taylor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Williford has |
|
|
contributed to the workings of state government firsthand while |
|
|
learning about the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Williford has brought a high level of enthusiasm |
|
|
and commitment to excellence to her tasks, which have included |
|
|
research and analysis of legislative proposals, meeting and |
|
|
corresponding with constituents and representatives of interest |
|
|
groups, scheduling, and providing efficient administrative |
|
|
support; in addition, she helped prepare and organize materials for |
|
|
the committees of Human Services, Defense and Veterans' Affairs, |
|
|
Culture, Recreation, and Tourism, and Homeland Security and Public |
|
|
Safety, and facilitated an event honoring veterans of the Iraq War; |
|
|
known for her dedication, she has often arrived early in the morning |
|
|
and stayed long past adjournment; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jordan Williford has made valuable contributions to |
|
|
the legislative process and the constituents in House District 66, |
|
|
and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine |
|
|
work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Jordan Williford for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Van Taylor |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Williford as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
