R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at |
|
the loss of Stuart Mason Wilkinson of McAllen, who passed away on |
|
May 14, 2011, at the age of 24; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Ray and Rosie Wilkinson, Stuart Wilkinson |
|
was born in 1986 in Brownsville; he attended McAllen Memorial High |
|
School, where he was a proud member of the Mustang football, |
|
basketball, and track teams; in addition, he enjoyed working with |
|
elementary school students as a volunteer for the PALS program, and |
|
he participated in 4-H, Relay for Life, Easter Seals, and Monica's |
|
Angels; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Wilkinson graduated from McAllen Memorial in |
|
2005 and went on to attend Blinn College and South Texas College; he |
|
had recently returned home to work with his father at the family |
|
business, Wilkinson Ray Iron and Metal; and |
|
WHEREAS, Kind, outgoing, and good-natured, Stuart Wilkinson |
|
delighted in the company of his family and friends, and although he |
|
will be deeply missed, memories of this beloved young man will |
|
remain to comfort all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Stuart Wilkinson and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
parents, Ray and Rosie Wilkinson; to his brother, Bradley Oliver |
|
Wilkinson; to his grandmother, M. Irene Vega; to his aunts, Norma |
|
Cruz, Nancy Puente and her husband, Omar, Brenda Hellums, Dorothy |
|
Ward and her husband, John, Kathy Schneider and her husband, Don, |
|
and Sandy Beck and her husband, Jerry; to his uncles, Joe Vega, |
|
Robert Vega and his wife, Norma, Gary Wilkinson and his wife, Sonia, |
|
and Jim Wilkinson and his wife, Patsy; and to his other relatives |
|
and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Stuart |
|
Mason Wilkinson. |
