R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Officer Diane Bartek retired from the Richardson |
|
Police Department on February 28, 2010, drawing to a close a notable |
|
tenure with the department that spanned nearly three decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Officer Bartek worked primarily in the patrol and |
|
investigative divisions, and at the time of her retirement, she |
|
served as a senior police training officer; she excelled in this |
|
role, with many of her trainees going on to become supervisors or |
|
command officers; in addition, she served for a time in the planning |
|
section, playing an essential part in policy development and |
|
revisions that led to the department's recognition by the Texas |
|
Police Chiefs Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding law enforcement professional today |
|
contributes her expertise and experience to The University of Texas |
|
at Dallas Police Department, where she is a lieutenant in charge of |
|
patrol operations; and |
|
WHEREAS, Diane Bartek's dedication, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to the safety and welfare of the public greatly |
|
benefited the citizens of Richardson and earned her the respect and |
|
admiration of her fellow officers, and it is indeed a pleasure to |
|
honor her at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Diane Bartek on her retirement from |
|
the Richardson Police Department and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Lieutenant Bartek as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
