R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Loved ones are mourning the loss of Ruby Jewel King |
|
of Robinson, who passed away on April 13, 2011, at the age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Kentucky, Ruby Hall was born on June 17, |
|
1927, to William and Eula Hall; she married J. T. King and they |
|
became the parents of four children, Sherry, Sunny, Myron, and |
|
Rhonda; the couple were fortunate enough to share more than half a |
|
century together before Mr. King's passing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. King enjoyed sewing, Bible study, and spending |
|
time with her family, which included many grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; she worked for Willis and Hall Drapery and was |
|
an active and valued member of Downsville Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ruby King lived a caring and purposeful life, and |
|
she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held |
|
her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ruby Jewel King and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughters, Sherry Hoke and Sunny Reid; to her son, Myron King; to |
|
her six granddaughters; to her five grandsons; to her 19 |
|
great-grandchildren; to her great-great-granddaughter; to her |
|
brother, Emery Hall; and to her other relatives and many friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ruby Jewel |
|
King. |
