R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and enthusiasm has come to an |
|
end with the passing of Judy Letitia Bales of Waco on April 18, |
|
2011, at the age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, Judy Bales was born on January 21, 1928, and she |
|
learned the virtue of hard work and determination early in life, |
|
working as a soda fountain clerk at the age of 12 and then being |
|
employed in an aircraft factory during World War II; she went on to |
|
become the accountant and manager for a family medical practice and |
|
the owner of a marketing and printing company; and |
|
WHEREAS, After retirement, Mrs. Bales converted her passion |
|
for playing bridge into a profession, and as the owner of a bridge |
|
club, she forged many friendships with the club's members; she |
|
participated in games until only a short time before her death; and |
|
WHEREAS, Widowed twice, Mrs. Bales found great comfort in the |
|
love and support of her son, Daniel, and in her "daughter," Marlena; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Judy Bales embraced life wholeheartedly, treasuring |
|
the time she spent in the company of her family and friends, and |
|
those she leaves behind will in turn cherish their memories of this |
|
kind and caring woman; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Judy Letitia Bales and |
|
extend sincere condolences to her many loved ones, including Daniel |
|
Joe Bourne, Sr., Marlena Rae Johnson, and her grandchildren; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Judy |
|
Letitia Bales. |
