R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Bob L. |
|
Corbitt of Speegleville, who passed away on April 23, 2011, at the |
|
age of 82; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bob Corbitt was born on July 25, 1928, in Hollis, |
|
Oklahoma, to C. W. Corbitt and Zula Mae Warren Corbitt; he shared a |
|
fulfilling relationship with his wife, Marie, and together they |
|
were blessed with two daughters, Sherry and Kay; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Corbitt and his wife operated their own |
|
business, CBC Builder's Hardware, for many years; they were also |
|
farmers for more than four decades, and after retiring from the |
|
hardware business, Mr. Corbitt took great pleasure in traveling and |
|
spending time on his farm; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bob Corbitt will be deeply missed, and cherished |
|
memories of time spent in his company will long endure in the hearts |
|
of his loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bob L. Corbitt and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Marie Corbitt; to his daughters, Sherry Bryant and Kay |
|
McEvers and her husband, Darrell; to his 8 grandchildren and 15 |
|
great-grandchildren; to his brothers, Norman Corbitt and his wife, |
|
Orlean, and Ernest Corbitt and his wife, Ladine; to his sister, |
|
Edith Ardell; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bob L. |
|
Corbitt. |
