R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Mary Ann McManus of Waco were |
|
greatly saddened by her passing on April 18, 2011, at the age of 66; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Mary Ann McCoy was born on January 14, |
|
1945, to Luther and Mary Elizabeth McCoy; she shared many happy |
|
years with her husband, Jack, and the couple were blessed with a |
|
daughter, Melanie, with whom Mrs. McManus shared a special bond; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, This beloved matriarch was devoted to her family and |
|
also served as a source of wisdom and inspiration to her five |
|
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Mary Ann |
|
McManus will remember the way she touched their lives with her |
|
warmth and delightful sense of humor, and she will forever hold a |
|
treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mary Ann McManus and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughter, Melanie Ann "Cherry" Holmes, and her husband, William; to |
|
her five grandchildren, Shea Rachetts, Jessica Copeland, Halie |
|
Holmes, Billy Holmes, and Elizabeth Holmes; to her |
|
great-grandchildren, Brooke and Sienna Rachetts and Jaclynn Faith |
|
Copeland; to her brother, Jeffrey Alfred McCoy; to her sister, |
|
Joyce Ann Hamm; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Ann |
|
McManus. |
