R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is a celebration of |
|
love that has stood the test of time, and five decades after that |
|
special day in 1961, Wilburn and Doris Schuette of McGregor |
|
continue to bring out the best in one another and to inspire all who |
|
share in the richness of their lives; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Schuette were united in matrimony on |
|
March 18, 1961, at a ceremony held at Zion Lutheran Church in |
|
McGregor; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of two |
|
daughters and their husbands, Laurie and David and Audry and |
|
Darrell, as well as four grandchildren, Leslie and her husband, |
|
John, Cody and his wife, Emily, Landon, and Shanna; and |
|
WHEREAS, Both now retired, Mr. Schuette worked for Smead |
|
Manufacturing and Mrs. Schuette was employed with the First |
|
National Bank of McGregor; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Wilburn and Doris Schuette on their |
|
50th anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schuette as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
