R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Audrey Ellen Davidson of Waco passed away on April
  18, 2011, at the age of 79, leaving her circle of family and friends
  to cherish their many happy memories of time spent in her company;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born to LeRoy and Evangeline Dickman in Yankton,
  South Dakota, on August 11, 1931, the former Audrey Dickman moved to
  Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her family at the age of 11; she was
  joined in matrimony to John Davidson on March 17, 1950, and the
  couple enjoyed a devoted union of 61 years; they were blessed with
  four children, Michael, James, John, and Jane, as well as six
  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Davidson and her husband owned the Ross
  Employment Agency and A-1 Laundry; in addition to helping to
  operate the family businesses, she worked as a physician's
  assistant and as a dispatcher with the Sioux Falls Argus Leader;
  after retiring in 1987, the couple moved to Mesa, Arizona; they
  recently relocated to Waco to be near family; and
         WHEREAS, An avid reader, Mrs. Davidson also enjoyed working
  crossword puzzles and playing bingo and Trivial Pursuit in her
  leisure time; above all, she loved spending time with her family;
  and
         WHEREAS, Over the past several years, Mrs. Davidson inspired
  those who knew her through the remarkable grace and courage with
  which she met the challenges of her illness; and
         WHEREAS, Audrey Davidson left an indelible impression on all
  who were blessed to know her, and those who shared in the warmth of
  her affection will forever hold her close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Audrey Ellen
  Davidson and extend sincere condolences to the members of her
  family: to her husband, John Davidson; to her sons and
  daughters-in-law, Michael and Kathleen Davidson, James and Sharon
  Davidson, and John and Marilyn Davidson; to her daughter and
  son-in-law, Jane and Carroll Shirley; to her grandchildren, Aimee
  Hennessy and her husband, Steve, Mick Davidson, Jay Davidson, Brant
  Davidson, Amanda Shirley, and Megan Shirley; to her seven
  great-grandchildren; to her sister, Erla Mae Williams; to her
  brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Margie Dickman and William
  and Norma Dickman; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Audrey
  Davidson.
