R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the |
|
passing of Sam Moses of Waco on April 22, 2011, at the age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, Sam Moses was born on April 14, 1928, in |
|
Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Roscoe and Rosalie Moses; devoted to |
|
his family, he treasured the time he spent with his loved ones, |
|
especially his daughter, Cynthia; and |
|
WHEREAS, An astute businessman and an energetic |
|
entrepreneur, Mr. Moses established a number of enterprises |
|
throughout his career, including Mastercraft Jewelry, Moses |
|
Plumbing, Moses Construction, Moses Water Company, and Moses Pawn; |
|
moreover, he helped to introduce self-service car washes, gas |
|
stations, and storage units to the Waco community; in addition to |
|
his professional accomplishments, Mr. Moses achieved the rank of |
|
Master Mason; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Sam Moses will be missed, he will long be |
|
fondly remembered by all those he inspired with his strong faith and |
|
touched with his affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sam Moses and extend |
|
sincere condolences to his family: to his daughter, Cynthia Moses; |
|
to his brother, Bobby Moses; and to his other loved ones, including |
|
Billie Moses, Elaine Obenoskey, Chase Aaron Duckworth, Vivian and |
|
Randall Parker, Justin Moses Smith, Tommy Chandler, Sidney McCune, |
|
Nathan McCune, and Travis Chandler; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sam Moses. |
