R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Nell Yates Helka of Waco on April 17, 2011, at the age of |
|
82; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in South Bosque on January 9, 1929, the former |
|
Nell Yates was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Yates; she shared a |
|
rewarding relationship with her husband, Vincent George Helka, and |
|
was a loving mother to her daughter, Jan, and her son, James; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Helka was employed as a bookkeeper until her |
|
retirement, and in her free time she enjoyed dancing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Nell Helka will be deeply missed, cherished |
|
memories of time spent in her company will long endure in the hearts |
|
of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nell Yates Helka and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughter, Jan Hopper; to her son, James E. Hopper, Jr., and his |
|
wife, Sherry; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nell Yates |
|
Helka. |
