R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dorothy Nolan of Waco passed away on April 12, 2011, |
|
at the age of 77, leaving her circle of family and friends to |
|
cherish their memories of many happy times spent in her company; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on January 1, 1934, in McLennan County to |
|
Johnnie and Ruby German, the former Dorothy German was adopted at a |
|
young age by James and Stella Hall; and |
|
WHEREAS, She enjoyed a rewarding relationship with her |
|
husband of 43 years, Philip C. Nolan, until the time of his passing; |
|
fortunate to find love again, she married Bobbie L. Nolan in 2001; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nolan was the devoted mother of four children, |
|
Wesley, Philip, Mark, and Lodusca, and she also delighted in |
|
welcoming eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren into |
|
her family; her favorite pastimes included visiting antique shops |
|
and cooking; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dorothy Nolan touched many lives during her time on |
|
this earth, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts |
|
of those who knew and loved her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dorothy Nolan and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Bobbie L. Nolan; to her sons, Philip and Mark Nolan; to her |
|
daughter, Lodusca Collier; to her brothers and sisters, Arnold, |
|
Thomas, Eve, and Elizabeth; to her grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dorothy |
|
Nolan. |
