Jordan, Israel, and all the rest. |
We've walked, we've climbed, even sailed the sea. |
We've had great times and many sights did see. |
However the tale that best to me, |
Is the way Caroline just won't let things be. |
She reads, she studies, twiddles and tweaks |
Instead of ten days, we stayed for three weeks! |
Caroline always in her most gracious, genteel way |
Comes up with planning, just one more day. |
However, a rebellion Caroline did incite |
When heading back as there was no more light. |
Our ears did not believe what she did say, |
"We can make it to another sight if we turn this way." |
Well the rest of us roared with all our might, |
"We're going to the bar for the rest of the night!!!" |
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that David and Caroline |
Pierce have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love |
