R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The boys' track and field team from Chapin High
  School in El Paso won the District 1-4A championship on April 8,
  2011; and
         WHEREAS, In capturing their second district title in the past
  three years, the Huskies benefited from several outstanding
  performances, most notably in the field events; Brandon Moss won
  the long and triple jumps, and Josh Jones placed second in both
  contests; also earning gold was Mario Alvarez in the discus and shot
  put and Raymond Sottak in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles; and
         WHEREAS, Winning a district championship represents the
  culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering
  commitment to excellence, and the members of the Chapin High School
  track and field team may indeed reflect with pride on this memorable
  achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Chapin High School boys' track
  and field team on winning the District 1-4A championship and extend
  sincere best wishes to the athletes and coaches for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
