R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The death of Rodney Dean Castleberry of Luling on
  May 14, 2011, at the age of 56, has brought a great loss to his
  family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Lubbock, Rod Castleberry was born to
  Travis and Velton Castleberry on November 22, 1954; he graduated
  from Monterey High School and went on to become an auto body
  mechanic; for many years, he restored classic cars, and he had a
  particular passion for painting and detailing; he also traveled
  around the country as a construction manager for several years,
  laying underground telecommunication cables; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Castleberry married Donna Frazier in 2001 and
  they settled in Luling; in his free time, Mr. Castleberry loved to
  cook, and he was the center of attention when manning the grill at
  large family gatherings; he was also appointed head chef for many of
  his employers' corporate events; a talented artist, he had a gift
  for sketching both perceptive portraits and humorous cartoon
  characters, and the woodwork in his house revealed his strong sense
  of design as well; and
         WHEREAS, Rod Castleberry led a rich and purposeful life
  centered around his family and his faith, and although he will be
  deeply missed, his loved ones will treasure the works of art he
  created and forever cherish their memories of time spent in the
  company of this devoted husband, father, and grandfather; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rodney Dean
  Castleberry and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Donna; to his sons, Richard and Chris and his
  wife, Jennifer; to his grandchildren, Travis, Haley, and Jessica;
  to his parents, Travis and Velton Castleberry; to his sister,
  Debbie Castleberry; to his nieces and nephews, Kenda, Melissa, KJ,
  Addison, Aubre, Anissa, Ryan, Braxton, Gracie, and Kaylea; and to
  his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rodney Dean
  Castleberry.
