R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cynthia Diaz de Leon has been selected as the |
|
|
2010-2011 Teacher of the Year at Union Hill Elementary School in |
|
|
Round Rock; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of St. Edwards University, Ms. Diaz de |
|
|
Leon is a veteran educator with 10 years of experience; she joined |
|
|
the faculty of Union Hill Elementary in 2008 as a bilingual |
|
|
third-grade teacher and now teaches the second grade dual language |
|
|
class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chosen for this prestigious award by her colleagues, |
|
|
Ms. Diaz de Leon has earned their respect and admiration for her |
|
|
patience, good humor, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her |
|
|
students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Teachers play a vital role in preparing the next |
|
|
generation of Texans for the challenges and opportunities of the |
|
|
future, and Cynthia Diaz de Leon has worked to instill in her |
|
|
students a lifelong love of learning that will serve them well in |
|
|
every aspect of their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Diaz de Leon on being named |
|
|
the 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year at Union Hill Elementary School |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Diaz de Leon as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
