R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Evan Grady
  Stewart has ably served the State of Texas as a staff member in the
  office of Representative Raul Torres; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Stewart was born in Pineville, Louisiana, on
  June 14, 1985, and attended high school in Buckeye, Louisiana,
  where he excelled in athletics as well as academics; after
  graduating at the top of his class, he attended Louisiana State
  University on a TOPS scholarship; his rewarding experience working
  on Bobby Jindal's successful campaign for governor in 2007 led him
  to change his focus from international trade and finance to
  government, and he went on to work as an aide to the governor's
  executive counsel, Jimmy Faircloth; and
         WHEREAS, In 2009, Mr. Faircloth asked Mr. Stewart to manage
  his campaign for the Louisiana Supreme Court; Mr. Stewart was
  responsible for fund-raising, grassroots development, scheduling,
  and general campaign strategy across a 20-parish district; before
  joining the staff of Representative Torres, Mr. Stewart also worked
  for Louisiana senator David Vitter; and
         WHEREAS, Evan Stewart has demonstrated a deep commitment to
  public service while ably performing his duties, and his
  exceptional contributions indeed merit special recognition; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Evan Grady Stewart for his service in
  the office of State Representative Raul Torres and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Stewart as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
