R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, After seven years of exceptional service, Sheryl |
|
Mills has retired as executive director of the Collin County |
|
Republican Party; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Mills became executive director in June 2004, |
|
and over the course of her tenure she served with three different |
|
party chairs; this accomplished Texan brought to her post a wide |
|
range of critical skills, from organizational and technical to |
|
analytical and strategic, and she contributed significantly to the |
|
party's continued growth and progress; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to directing the daily operation of the |
|
party's headquarters, Ms. Mills consulted on campaign management |
|
and message development, oversaw voter registration drives, |
|
assisted with fund-raising, conducted outreach to local Republican |
|
clubs and organizations, organized events, and managed volunteers; |
|
tireless in her dedication to the party's mission, she gained a |
|
reputation for always going the extra mile to ensure the success of |
|
the Collin County Republican Party, which is now one of the |
|
strongest Republican parties in the state; and |
|
WHEREAS, Sheryl Mills has played an instrumental role in |
|
advancing the cause of the Republican Party in North Texas, and she |
|
is indeed worthy of recognition for her exemplary public spirit; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Sheryl Mills for her outstanding service |
|
to the Collin County Republican Party on the occasion of her |
|
retirement as its executive director and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success and happiness in all her endeavors; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Mills as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
