R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas are hosting |
|
|
Food First Day on June 9, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the organization and the community are |
|
|
joining together to celebrate the Boys & Girls Clubs receipt of a |
|
|
$10,000 grant from First Choice Power in partnership with the |
|
|
Capital Area Food Bank of Texas that will be used to distribute 250 |
|
|
bags of food each week throughout the summer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The combined efforts of these groups are helping to |
|
|
address one of the most critical needs faced by residents of the |
|
|
Lone Star State, and their contributions to reducing hunger are |
|
|
truly worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize June 9, 2011, as Food First Day and |
|
|
extend to all those associated with this worthwhile event best |
|
|
wishes for success with their important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas as an |
|
|
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
