R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Felicia Pilar |
|
|
Pena has skillfully served her fellow Texans as assistant clerk for |
|
|
the House Committee on Technology; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Pena's work ethic contributed greatly to the |
|
|
efficient progress of the committee's deliberations, and she ably |
|
|
assisted the public with inquiries concerning the committee's work; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A senior at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. |
|
|
Pena is pursuing a dual major in sociology and communications |
|
|
studies, with a certificate degree in social entrepreneurship; she |
|
|
has volunteered abroad in Ghana, and she has served as vice |
|
|
president of the Student Event Center and as co-director of the |
|
|
Latino Leadership Council; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Approaching her responsibilities with intelligence |
|
|
and professionalism, Ms. Pena has provided invaluable support to |
|
|
the legislative process during the current session, and it is most |
|
|
fitting to recognize her for a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Felicia Pilar Pena for her service as |
|
|
assistant clerk for the House Committee on Technology and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Pena as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
