R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Arlene |
|
|
M. Tomchesson of Waco, who passed away on April 26, 2011, at the age |
|
|
of 76; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Beaumont on March 21, 1935, the former |
|
|
Arlene Baker was the daughter of Lester and Lucille Baker; she met |
|
|
her future husband, Teddy Tomchesson, in Marlin and they married |
|
|
there on December 27, 1952; they later became the parents of five |
|
|
treasured children, Lisa, Liana, Titus, Andrew, and Anthony; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Tomchesson lived in a number of places during |
|
|
her husband's military service and particularly enjoyed their time |
|
|
in Japan; the couple shared a rewarding relationship until Mr. |
|
|
Tomchesson's death during the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A skilled bookkeeper, Mrs. Tomchesson excelled in |
|
|
her professional career; she took devoted care of her family and |
|
|
gave generously of her time and talents to the Girl Scouts and Boy |
|
|
Scouts while her children were young; in leisure hours, she enjoyed |
|
|
reading, dancing, spending time at the beach, tending to her |
|
|
flowers, and playing card games with her friends and grandchildren; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Arlene |
|
|
Tomchesson will remember the way she touched their lives with her |
|
|
warmth, kindness, and delightful sense of humor, and she will |
|
|
forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Arlene M. |
|
|
Tomchesson and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her |
|
|
family: to her children, Lisa Tomczeszyn, Titus Tomchesson, Liana |
|
|
Tomchesson Adams and her husband, George, Andrew Tomchesson, and |
|
|
Anthony Tomchesson and his wife, Robin; to her grandchildren, Sarah |
|
|
Tomchesson-Rhodes, Jessica Tomchesson, Emily Tomchesson, Miles |
|
|
Adams, Ty Tomchesson, Daniel Tomchesson, and Cheyanna Tomchesson; |
|
|
to her brother, Joel Baker; and to her other relatives and friends; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Arlene M. |
|
|
Tomchesson. |
