R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Melinda Hope
  Reyes has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office
  of State Representative Aaron Pena; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reyes has contributed
  to the workings of state government firsthand; in addition to
  learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing
  citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable work
  experience in the field of public service; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reyes and Mr. and
  Mrs. Ron Noble and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sixto Trevino, Ms.
  Reyes is a 2007 graduate of Edinburg High School, where she was a
  member of the National Honor Society and performed with the Red and
  Blue Sergeanettes dance team; she is currently a student at Texas
  State University--San Marcos, and will receive her bachelor of
  public administration degree in August; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan is an outstanding
  student who has performed her duties as a legislative intern with
  skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special
  recognition for her work and achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Melinda Hope Reyes for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Aaron Pena
  and congratulate her on her August 2011 graduation from Texas State
  University; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Reyes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
