R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church of |
|
|
Dallas are celebrating the installation of their pastor, the |
|
|
Reverend Stephen G. Brown, on May 29, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Houston, Stephen Brown graduated from |
|
|
Morehouse College and went on to complete his master's degree in |
|
|
theology from Dallas Theological Seminary; he began his ministerial |
|
|
work with Concord Church, where he served as youth pastor, singles |
|
|
pastor, and senior associate pastor of special initiatives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Reverend Brown has also shared his spiritual |
|
|
guidance at revivals and conferences throughout the United States |
|
|
and beyond; a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, he is supported in |
|
|
all of his endeavors by his loving family, which includes his wife, |
|
|
Dr. Nicole Brown, and their son, Nicolas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The installation of Reverend Brown marks the |
|
|
beginning of an important new chapter in the life of Greater |
|
|
Bethlehem Baptist Church, and members of the congregation may |
|
|
indeed look forward to deepening their faith and continuing their |
|
|
good works under his leadership; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the Reverend Stephen G. Brown on his |
|
|
installation as pastor of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church of |
|
|
Dallas and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Reverend Brown as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
