R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Aubrey Hooper was elected to the DeSoto Independent |
|
|
School District Board of Trustees on May 14, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the DeSoto school board work closely with |
|
|
parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned citizens to |
|
|
foster a supportive and challenging environment at district |
|
|
schools, and in so doing, they are helping to provide nearly 9,000 |
|
|
young Texans in South Dallas County with a strong academic |
|
|
foundation on which to build a bright and prosperous future; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor in which all |
|
|
citizens have a stake, and as a newly elected trustee of DeSoto ISD, |
|
|
Mr. Hooper is accepting an important responsibility and setting an |
|
|
inspiring example of community engagement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aubrey Hooper on being elected to |
|
|
the DeSoto Independent School District Board of Trustees and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Hooper as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
