R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, William Clark |
|
Miller has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office |
|
of Speaker Pro Tem Beverly Woolley, and he will soon follow that |
|
achievement with another when he celebrates the momentous occasion |
|
of his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin in August |
|
2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining Speaker Pro Tem Woolley's staff, Mr. |
|
Miller has contributed to the workings of state government |
|
firsthand; in addition to learning more about the legislative |
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he |
|
has gained valuable work experience in the field of public service; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Miller is majoring in radio, television, and |
|
film in UT's Department of Communications; the receipt of his |
|
bachelor's degree represents the first step on a path that includes |
|
attending law school, practicing entertainment law, and, |
|
ultimately, producing his own films; and |
|
WHEREAS, Resolute in her intent to nullify this resolution |
|
should Mr. Miller not complete his degree as expected, Speaker Pro |
|
Tem Woolley strongly encourages him to finish his studies so that he |
|
may achieve his aspirations; since he has tackled each new task he |
|
has been given as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, |
|
surely this assignment shall prove no different; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend William Clark Miller for his service as |
|
a legislative intern in the office of Speaker Pro Tem Beverly |
|
Woolley and extend to him heartfelt congratulations on his upcoming |
|
graduation from The University of Texas; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Miller as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
