R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
  temper the profound sadness felt by the family and friends of
  Lorenzo Rosas of Speegleville, who passed away on April 28, 2011, at
  the age of 71; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Menard to Benito and Guadalupe Rosas on
  August 5, 1939, "Lorry" Rosas later moved with his parents and 10
  brothers and sisters to Kansas; in 1955, he was baptized as one of
  Jehovah's Witnesses, and his faith became a cornerstone of his
  life; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rosas returned to Texas in 1961 and married the
  former Gregoria Diaz the following year; together, they were
  blessed with six children, Stephen, Jeffrey, Delia, Yvette, Zina,
  and Vanessa, and they later saw their family grow to include a third
  generation; and
         WHEREAS, After moving to the Waco area in 1971, Mr. Rosas
  became the owner and operator of several businesses, including
  Aztec Drywall and Insulation and C M Aztec, Inc.; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rosas served as an elder in Spanish-language
  Jehovah's Witnesses congregations in the area, and he dedicated
  himself to construction projects at the Kingdom Hall and for the
  Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, some of which took place
  outside the United States; and
         WHEREAS, Lorry Rosas possessed a generosity of spirit that
  expressed itself in myriad ways, and countless lives were enriched
  by his warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lorenzo Rosas and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Gregoria Rosas; to his sons, Stephen Rosas and his wife,
  Tamra, and Jeffrey Rosas; to his daughters, Yvette, Zina, and
  Vanessa Rosas; to his grandchildren, Jasmine, Brittney, D'Asia,
  Brian, and Teagan, and his adopted granddaughter, Gina; to his
  brother, Carlos Rosas; to his sisters, Leonor Perez, Elida
  Maldonado, Elia Ramirez, and Esther Rosas; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lorry
  Rosas.
