R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
|
passing of Iris Marie Vonasek of West on April 30, 2011, at the age |
|
|
of 83; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of West, the former Iris Baca was born on |
|
|
September 17, 1927; she attended St. Mary's School and graduated |
|
|
from West High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This lovely lady married Frank Vonasek in West on |
|
|
July 9, 1947; the couple later became the parents of seven treasured |
|
|
children, Frank, Anthony, Charles, Patrick, Vicki, Vivian, and |
|
|
Vanette; they shared a fulfilling relationship until Mr. Vonasek's |
|
|
untimely passing on January 1, 1981; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Mrs. Vonasek worked as a |
|
|
ward secretary at West Community Hospital, where her sweet smile |
|
|
was a comfort to many; in her retirement years, she spent myriad |
|
|
happy hours in the company of her family and friends; she also |
|
|
enjoyed dominoes, Chinese checkers, bingo, listening to music, |
|
|
dancing, and especially taking care of her pets; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Vonasek was a valued member of St. Mary |
|
|
Catholic Church of the Assumption, Catholic Daughters of the |
|
|
Americas Court No. 829, and KJZT Society No. 11; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although her death has brought great sorrow to her |
|
|
loved ones, Iris Vonasek has left behind many fond memories that |
|
|
they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Iris Marie Vonasek and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
children, Frank Vonasek, Jr., Anthony Vonasek and his wife, Debbie, |
|
|
Charles Vonasek and his wife, DiAnne, Patrick Vonasek and his wife, |
|
|
Janice, Vicki Bienski and her husband, Tom, Vivian Whatley and her |
|
|
husband, Darrell, and Vanette Vonasek; to her grandchildren, |
|
|
Candice Vonasek, Brian Vonasek and his wife, Jiliane, Charley |
|
|
Vonasek, Anna Vonasek, E. Z. Vonasek, Brenna Vonasek, Beth Vonasek, |
|
|
Jackie Bienski Adamcik and her husband, Scott, Jennifer Bienski, |
|
|
Mindy Weathers, and Christina Weathers; to her |
|
|
great-grandchildren, Ethan George Nazari, Evan Zachary Adamcik, |
|
|
and Ambry Grace Vonasek; and to her many other relatives and |
|
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Iris Marie |
|
|
Vonasek. |
