R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carolyn Evanson of Irving commemorated a special |
|
|
milestone in her life on May 14, 2011, when she celebrated her 80th |
|
|
birthday; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in 1931, Mrs. Evanson attended Lipscomb |
|
|
University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she majored in |
|
|
journalism; she has shared 54 years of marriage with Phillip |
|
|
Evanson, a retired Church of Christ preacher; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today, Mrs. Evanson's close-knit family includes |
|
|
two children, Lynn and Paul, and seven grandchildren; in addition |
|
|
to spending time with her loved ones, she enjoys reading and |
|
|
beadwork; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carolyn Evanson is an inspiration to all those who |
|
|
have the good fortune to know her, and her 80th birthday offers a |
|
|
welcome opportunity to remind her of the special place she holds in |
|
|
their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Carolyn Evanson on the joyous occasion of |
|
|
her 80th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Evanson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
