R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Kori Hattemer |
|
|
has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of |
|
|
State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hattemer has drafted |
|
|
correspondence, legislative summaries, and remarks for public |
|
|
addresses and hearings, and she has also analyzed budget data and |
|
|
attended policy briefings; she has performed these duties and |
|
|
others with energy and intelligence, and her initiative and |
|
|
willingness to learn have contributed greatly to the efficient |
|
|
operation of the office; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with |
|
|
a degree in kinesiology, Ms. Hattemer is currently studying for her |
|
|
master's degree at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, where she |
|
|
conducts research as a member of the Policy Research Team; she |
|
|
previously gained experience as a substitute teacher for the Rogers |
|
|
Independent School District and as director of Health Promotions |
|
|
for the Austin chapter of the American Lung Association; in |
|
|
addition, she is a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central |
|
|
Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Hattemer has contributed to the work of state |
|
|
government while enhancing her knowledge of the legislative process |
|
|
and the issues that concern citizens of the Lone Star State, and she |
|
|
is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kori Hattemer for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ruth |
|
|
Jones McClendon and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hattemer as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
