R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Kori Hattemer
  has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of
  State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hattemer has drafted
  correspondence, legislative summaries, and remarks for public
  addresses and hearings, and she has also analyzed budget data and
  attended policy briefings; she has performed these duties and
  others with energy and intelligence, and her initiative and
  willingness to learn have contributed greatly to the efficient
  operation of the office; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with
  a degree in kinesiology, Ms. Hattemer is currently studying for her
  master's degree at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, where she
  conducts research as a member of the Policy Research Team; she
  previously gained experience as a substitute teacher for the Rogers
  Independent School District and as director of Health Promotions
  for the Austin chapter of the American Lung Association; in
  addition, she is a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central
  Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Hattemer has contributed to the work of state
  government while enhancing her knowledge of the legislative process
  and the issues that concern citizens of the Lone Star State, and she
  is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Kori Hattemer for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ruth
  Jones McClendon and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Hattemer as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
