R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Ernest
  L. Teague, Sr., of Fort Davis, who passed away on March 1, 2011, at
  the age of 80; and
         WHEREAS, Born on August 30, 1930, in Alpine, to Barney and
  Maude Teague, Ernest Teague enjoyed the companionship of a sister,
  Dorothy, and four brothers, Barney, Charles, Raymond, and Alvis; he
  attended Sul Ross State University for two years and lived in the
  Alpine/Fort Davis area for the first 38 years of his life; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Teague and his first wife, Mary Jo Neely, became
  the parents of four children, Ernest "Larry," Kathleen, Roland, and
  Mark, and shared a rewarding relationship until Mrs. Teague's
  passing in 1963; fortunate to find love a second time, Ernest Teague
  exchanged wedding vows with Anna Lee in 1978, and the couple enjoyed
  many happy times with their 7 children, 18 grandchildren, and 29
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, In 1988, after living in Pecos for three years, Mr.
  Teague and his family moved to Fort Davis; he was a longtime
  congregant of First Presbyterian Church and served the membership
  as a deacon, as an elder, and as chair of several committees; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan left an indelible impression on
  all who knew him, and those who were privileged to share in his love
  and friendship will forever hold him close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ernest L. Teague,
  Sr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Anna Teague; to his children, grandchildren, and
  great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ernest L.
  Teague, Sr.
