R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Wes Evans of Boerne, who died on April 8, 2011, at the age of 57;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Evans was born in San Antonio on September 8,
  1953, to David Wesley Evans II and Virginia Durst Evans; he
  graduated in 1972 from Churchill High School, where he was a member
  of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Evans married the former Paula Erben in the
  early 1970s, and the couple subsequently founded Oak Hills Pest
  Control; Mr. Evans worked hard to support the growing business,
  often taking odd jobs in the early years, and his dedication and
  determination paid off; today, Oak Hills is one of the largest
  independently owned pest control companies in the Hill Country; and
         WHEREAS, A savvy businessman who took pride in his employees
  and the respectful relationship he shared with them, Mr. Evans also
  distinguished himself through his charitable donations, giving
  generously to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, among other
  organizations; above all, he delighted in his close-knit family,
  which grew to include two daughters and four grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Although Wes Evans will be deeply missed, he leaves
  behind a legacy that will long be treasured by all those who were
  privileged to share in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Wes Evans and extend
  sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Paula
  Evans; to his mother, Virginia Evans; to his daughters, Katie
  Farias and her husband, Gabe, and Maggie Gentry and her husband,
  Chris; to his grandchildren, Cole, Chance, Niya, and Xzavier; to
  his sister, Sandi Grudzinski, and her husband, Leroy; to his
  brothers, Steve Evans and Doug Evans; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Wes Evans.
