R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Honorable Val Clark Beard has ably served the |
|
|
people of Brewster County as county judge for more than 16 years, |
|
|
and the knowledge and dedication she has demonstrated over the |
|
|
course of her tenure have earned her the respect of her fellow |
|
|
citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since taking office in 1995, Judge Beard has |
|
|
distinguished herself through her outstanding work as presiding |
|
|
officer of the commissioners court and through her astute |
|
|
leadership of county government operations; before being elected |
|
|
county judge, she spent two terms as county attorney; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The significant contributions of Val Beard have |
|
|
helped make Brewster County an even better place in which to live, |
|
|
and she may take justifiable pride in her exemplary record of |
|
|
achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Judge Val Clark Beard on her notable |
|
|
public service and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Beard as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
