R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Britton Tidwell is participating in that joyful |
|
|
occasion as he graduates with honors from Terrell High School on |
|
|
June 3, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2011 will soon |
|
|
go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at Terrell |
|
|
High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and experiences |
|
|
that Mr. Tidwell has gained there will forever enrich his life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning his high school diploma has required hard |
|
|
work and dedication, and Mr. Tidwell can reflect with pride on the |
|
|
perseverance he has demonstrated in the pursuit of his goals; he has |
|
|
been a member of the National Honor Society, and he was selected as |
|
|
a commended scholar by the Texas Association of Secondary School |
|
|
Principals; in addition to his academic success, he also found time |
|
|
to give back to his community through his work with the Key Club, |
|
|
the Rotary Club, the Hulsey Public Library summer reading program, |
|
|
and the Share Center; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Accepted to the Honors College at Harding |
|
|
University, this outstanding young Texan may look forward to |
|
|
exciting challenges and opportunities, and it is a pleasure to join |
|
|
his family and friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Britton Tidwell on the occasion of |
|
|
his high school graduation and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Tidwell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
